Professional Services Disclosure

How tax advisory, investment advisory, and professional plan-review services work.

Last updated August 4, 2026

Eligible STOXAVA plans may include access to qualified tax and investment professionals. This document explains the division between the STOXAVA platform and the professional or registered firm responsible for personalized advice.

1. Technology and professional services

STOXAVA provides the technology used to collect and organize financial information, display planning estimates, prepare questions, coordinate appointments, and support the professional-service experience. Eligible plans may include personalized tax advice, investment advice, or a professional review of the user’s plan.

The professional or firm identified in the engagement materials is responsible for the advice it provides. Stoxava, Inc. may coordinate, bundle, or facilitate the service without becoming the tax practitioner, registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, custodian, law firm, or immigration adviser for that engagement.

2. Services available under eligible plans

Tax advisory

Tax advisory may include review of income, payroll withholding, filing status, deductions, retirement and health-account contributions, estimated tax exposure, tax-efficient planning opportunities, and questions raised by the user. The exact scope is stated before the session.

Unless expressly included in writing, tax advisory does not include preparation or filing of a tax return, amended return, audit or collection representation, legal opinion, valuation, attestation, or immigration advice.

Investment advisory

Investment advisory may include personalized recommendations relating to goals, time horizon, risk, asset allocation, diversification, account selection, contribution strategy, portfolio structure, retirement investing, or investment implementation. Investment advisory services are provided through the participating registered investment adviser firm or appropriately registered professional identified before engagement.

Custody, trade execution, discretionary management, ongoing monitoring, or product implementation is included only when the responsible registered firm expressly offers it under a separate agreement.

Professional plan review

A professional plan review may help the user understand the STOXAVA plan, verify assumptions, identify missing information, prioritize action items, and determine whether a separate tax, investment, accounting, legal, or other professional engagement is appropriate. The reviewer provides advice only within the reviewer’s actual credentials, registration, competence, and agreed scope.

3. Who may provide the service

  • Tax professionals. Certified Public Accountants, Enrolled Agents, attorneys, or other tax professionals whose qualifications and permitted scope are appropriate for the requested service.
  • Investment professionals. Registered investment adviser firms and their appropriately registered or supervised personnel.
  • Financial-planning professionals. Professionals with relevant planning credentials or experience. A designation such as CFP certification does not by itself determine whether a person or firm may provide regulated investment advice; the applicable registration and engagement determine the role.

Before the professional service begins, the user will be shown the provider’s name, firm, role, relevant credentials or registration, service scope, and applicable agreement or disclosure.

Users may independently review investment-professional and firm backgrounds through FINRA BrokerCheck and the SEC Investment Adviser Public Disclosure database. Tax-professional credentials may be reviewed through the IRS Directory of Federal Tax Return Preparers with Credentials and Select Qualifications, the applicable state board of accountancy, state bar, or other licensing authority. A directory listing is not an endorsement and may not include every qualified professional.

4. Separate engagement and consent

Using STOXAVA or purchasing a plan does not automatically create a professional-client or investment-advisory relationship. A professional relationship begins only after the applicable onboarding and engagement requirements are satisfied. These may include identity verification, conflict checks, acceptance of a professional agreement, privacy notice, fee disclosure, advisory brochure, relationship summary, consent to share information, or other required documents.

Electronic records and signatures. When an engagement document or legally required disclosure is delivered electronically, the user will be asked to affirmatively consent through a process that identifies the covered records, hardware and software requirements, the right to request paper records when available, how to withdraw consent, and how to update contact information. The responsible professional or firm may use its own electronic-delivery and signature process. STOXAVA’s platform Terms do not replace that provider-specific consent.

5. Fees and compensation

Professional services may be included in the price of an eligible STOXAVA plan or charged separately. STOXAVA may compensate a participating professional or firm from plan revenue. Where permitted, STOXAVA or a participating firm may also receive a platform, administrative, referral, implementation, or other fee.

The user will receive the material fee and compensation information applicable to the service before engagement. No professional should recommend a product, account, or service solely because it produces compensation. Ask the professional to explain how the professional, firm, and STOXAVA are paid.

6. Conflicts of interest

A participating professional or firm may have business relationships, compensation arrangements, product affiliations, referral arrangements, or other interests that could affect a recommendation. Material conflicts and the steps used to address them will be disclosed as required by law and the applicable professional standards. The user should review the provider’s disclosures and ask questions before acting.

7. Access to STOXAVA information

A professional may receive access to information reasonably necessary for the requested service, including profile information, income, expenses, taxes, debts, connected accounts, investments, retirement information, goals, planning outputs, documents, and user questions. Access is limited by the service, permissions, and applicable agreements. The professional or firm may retain records as required by law or professional obligations.

Do not provide information that is not needed for the service. STOXAVA and participating professionals will never ask you to send passwords or complete financial-account credentials by email or social media.

8. Professional judgment and user responsibilities

The professional relies on the information available during the engagement. The user is responsible for providing accurate and complete information, reviewing recommendations, asking questions, and deciding whether and how to implement an action. A recommendation may change when facts, law, markets, goals, or personal circumstances change.

9. Limits of the engagement

  • The service is limited to the subject, timeframe, jurisdiction, and scope stated in the engagement materials.
  • An isolated session does not create ongoing monitoring unless the agreement expressly provides it.
  • A professional is not responsible for information withheld, inaccurate data, actions taken outside the recommendation, or changes occurring after the engagement, except as provided by applicable law or agreement.
  • The professional may refer a user to another specialist when the matter falls outside the professional’s role, competence, jurisdiction, license, or registration.

10. Investment-adviser disclosures

When investment advisory services are provided, the responsible investment adviser firm will provide the disclosures and agreements required for the relationship. If the firm is required to deliver Form CRS, it must provide the relationship summary before or at the time it enters into the advisory contract with the retail investor. The firm may also provide Form ADV, a client or advisory agreement, fee schedule, privacy notice, conflict disclosures, and information about the firm and its professionals. STOXAVA may present these materials and record an acknowledgement of delivery, but platform acceptance alone is not a substitute for the adviser firm’s delivery and recordkeeping obligations. Those documents govern the advisory service if they conflict with a general STOXAVA platform document on an advisory-specific issue.

11. Tax-professional credentials and representation

Tax credentials and permitted services vary. Certified Public Accountants, Enrolled Agents, and attorneys generally have broader rights to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service than uncredentialed return preparers. Representation, tax-return preparation, and filing are included only when the professional expressly accepts that work in writing.

Written tax advice. A tax professional providing written federal tax advice should base the advice on reasonable factual and legal assumptions, use reasonable efforts to identify relevant facts, and apply the standards governing that professional. STOXAVA does not require a boilerplate Circular 230 disclaimer on every communication. The professional should instead clearly identify the advice’s scope, assumptions, limitations, effective date, and whether the user may rely on it for a particular purpose.

12. No guaranteed results

No professional service guarantees tax savings, a refund, investment performance, reduced risk, credit approval, retirement success, regulatory acceptance, or another result. Outcomes depend on the user’s facts, implementation, law, markets, institutions, and future events.

13. Questions, complaints, and professional concerns

For product, scheduling, billing, access, or privacy concerns, contact support@stoxava.com. Concerns about a professional recommendation or conduct should also be directed to the professional or firm identified in the engagement documents. Users may contact the applicable licensing or regulatory authority when appropriate.

Questions about this disclosure may also be sent to support@stoxava.com. Do not send passwords, full account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other highly sensitive information by email or social media.
