Read these disclosures before relying on a STOXAVA estimate, automated insight, planning recommendation, or professional service. The disclosure applicable to a specific professional engagement may contain additional terms.
1. STOXAVA's service model
STOXAVA combines financial-planning technology with access to qualified professionals under eligible plans. The platform may organize information, generate estimates, identify planning opportunities, and prepare users for decisions. Personalized tax or investment advice is provided only when included in an eligible plan and delivered by the responsible qualified professional or registered investment adviser firm identified in the engagement materials.
Stoxava, Inc. is not a bank, broker-dealer, custodian, law firm, or immigration adviser. Unless expressly stated in a separate agreement, STOXAVA does not hold customer funds, execute trades, prepare or file tax returns, represent users before a tax authority, or provide legal or immigration advice.
2. Estimates, assumptions, and data quality
Financial outputs depend on user-entered information, connected-account data, third-party data, assumptions, and calculation rules. Information may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, misclassified, or inaccurate. A change in income, deductions, household circumstances, law, market conditions, account values, interest rates, fees, or other facts can materially change an output.
Confidence ranges, alerts, priorities, and recommended next steps are planning aids, not guarantees. Review the underlying inputs and assumptions before acting.
3. Tax planning and tax advice
Platform tax estimates are intended to help users understand possible federal, state, local, payroll, withholding, and tax-planning considerations. They are not a completed tax return, tax transcript, tax assessment, refund calculation, or official determination by a taxing authority.
Under eligible plans, a qualified tax professional may provide personalized tax-planning advice within the scope stated in the professional engagement. Tax-return preparation, filing, amended returns, audit support, collections work, or representation before the Internal Revenue Service or another authority are not included unless expressly stated in writing. Tax laws and administrative guidance change, and outcomes depend on complete and accurate facts.
Written federal tax advice provided by a practitioner is subject to the professional standards that apply to that practitioner, including the requirement to use reasonable factual and legal assumptions and to consider relevant facts. General platform outputs are not written tax opinions and should not be treated as authority for avoiding penalties. The IRS no longer requires a universal “Circular 230 disclaimer” on every tax email or recommendation; the responsible professional may instead state accurate scope, assumptions, reliance, and limitations for the specific advice.
4. Investment advice and investment risk
Investment tracking, educational content, projections, and automated insights do not by themselves create an investment-advisory relationship. Personalized investment advice is available only through an eligible plan and is provided by the registered investment adviser firm or appropriately registered professional identified before the service begins.
- All investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal.
- Past performance does not guarantee future results.
- Projections and hypothetical illustrations do not represent actual performance and may differ materially from real outcomes.
- Diversification and asset allocation do not guarantee a profit or protect against loss.
- Taxes, fees, liquidity, time horizon, risk tolerance, concentration, and account restrictions can affect whether an investment strategy is appropriate.
- STOXAVA does not execute trades, hold assets, or exercise investment discretion unless a separate regulated service expressly states otherwise.
5. Retirement projections
Retirement projections depend on assumptions such as contributions, inflation, investment returns, retirement age, withdrawal rates, taxes, longevity, employer benefits, and future expenses. Actual results may vary substantially. A readiness score or projected balance is not a promise that a retirement goal will be achieved.
6. Income, expenses, and planning room
Income and take-home estimates may differ from actual payroll because of withholding elections, benefits, bonuses, overtime, payroll timing, state and local taxes, immigration or work-status rules, employer practices, and incomplete data. “Planning Room” is STOXAVA’s estimate of the amount that may remain after estimated reliable take-home income and the expenses, debt payments, commitments, and other amounts included in the plan. It is not a bank account, stored balance, available credit, escrow, or money held or controlled by STOXAVA.
7. Credit and debt information
Credit and debt insights are educational planning tools. STOXAVA is not a credit bureau, lender, credit-repair organization, or debt-settlement provider. Credit outcomes depend on information held by lenders and consumer reporting agencies, and STOXAVA cannot guarantee approval, score changes, interest-rate changes, or debt-payoff results.
8. Connected financial accounts
Connected data is obtained from financial institutions through Plaid or another approved provider. Connections can fail, become stale, omit accounts, duplicate transactions, or categorize activity incorrectly. Users should compare important information with statements and records from the financial institution. Disconnecting an account stops future retrieval after processing but does not automatically delete previously imported data.
9. Automated insights and artificial intelligence
STOXAVA may use automated rules or artificial intelligence to explain information, identify patterns, prioritize planning topics, and support customer service. Automated outputs can be incomplete, incorrect, or inappropriate for a user’s full circumstances. They should not be treated as a signed professional opinion unless a qualified professional expressly adopts the recommendation within an active engagement.
10. Immigration and legal matters
STOXAVA may use immigration or work-status information to explain potential tax, payroll, retirement, or financial-planning considerations. STOXAVA does not determine immigration status, work authorization, residency eligibility, or legal rights and does not provide legal or immigration advice. Users should consult an appropriately qualified attorney for legal or immigration questions.
Foreign accounts and assets. U.S. taxpayers and certain U.S. persons may have separate reporting duties for foreign financial accounts or assets, including FinCEN Form 114 (FBAR), IRS Form 8938, and other international information returns. These requirements use different definitions and thresholds and may apply even when no additional tax is due. STOXAVA does not automatically determine or complete every foreign reporting obligation unless an eligible professional engagement expressly includes that review. Penalties can be substantial and may include annually adjusted FBAR penalties, criminal consequences for willful violations, a $10,000 initial Form 8938 failure-to-file penalty, and additional Form 8938 continuation penalties up to $50,000 after IRS notice. Users with foreign accounts, ownership interests, or assets should raise them promptly with a qualified tax professional.
11. Professional availability and scope
Professional services depend on the selected plan, user eligibility, professional availability, jurisdiction, credentials, registration, conflicts checks, and completion of required engagement documents. A professional may decline or limit a service when the request is outside the professional’s competence, license, registration, jurisdiction, or agreed scope.
12. Fees, compensation, and conflicts
A professional session may be included in a STOXAVA plan or may require an additional fee. STOXAVA may compensate participating professionals from plan revenue and may receive platform, administrative, referral, or other compensation where permitted. Material fees, compensation arrangements, and conflicts relevant to a professional service will be disclosed before the engagement begins.
13. No guaranteed outcome
STOXAVA does not guarantee tax savings, refund amounts, investment returns, retirement outcomes, credit approval, debt reduction, professional availability, regulatory acceptance, or any other financial result. Outcomes depend on facts, law, markets, institutions, implementation, and user decisions.
14. Emergencies and time-sensitive matters
The Services are not designed for emergencies, immediate trading decisions, urgent tax filings, legal deadlines, fraud response, or other time-sensitive matters requiring immediate professional action. Contact the relevant institution, authority, emergency service, attorney, tax professional, or registered financial professional directly when urgent assistance is required. General questions about these disclosures may be sent to support@stoxava.com.
